Born into the family of musicians, from the early days he had contact with both the art and artists. In elementary school and high school, he was a student in the piano classes of Irena Kirjacka and Elżbieta Karaś-Krasztel. Alongside his artistic development he had been deepening his general knowledge, which resulted in law studies at the University of Warsaw.
He gained his musical education at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the piano class of Prof. Ewa Pobłocka and at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the conducting class of Prof. Tomasz Bugaj. He made his debut in 2008 at the Warsaw Philharmonic, conducting his diploma concert.
Since 2005 he has been active in associations like Sinfonia Artis and “Miód Materia” Artistic Association. As a board member and a conductor he carries out projects funded by winnings in the competitions held by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the City of Warsaw Council. He cooperates with the media industry, co-creating renowned events, such as 19th prizegiving ceremony of the European Film Awards or the 10th anniversary of Polsat Foundation.
While still a student he started the cooperation with the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera, where he served as the assistant conductor and conductor. At that time he had an opportunity to work with renowned conductors: Tomasz Bugaj, Valery Gergiev, Tomáš Hanus, Gabriel Chmura, and directors: Mariusz Treliński, David Alden, or Harry Kupfer.
A breakthrough moment of young conductor’s career came with the unexpected substitution of the main conductor of the Giacomo Puccini’s “Turandot” performance. The success of that evening gave rise to numerous professional offers. In June 2011, he became the artistic director of Castle Opera in Szczecin, becoming the youngest director of the opera house in Poland. His cooperation with that institution resulted in many successful performances, excellent reviews, and the appreciation of music lovers, who awarded his work with the Amber Ring for the best performance in 2012.
At present he maintains ongoing cooperation with numerous philharmonics and opera houses in Poland and abroad, such as the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Koszalin Philharmonic Orchestra, Silesian Opera, or Warsaw Chamber Opera, to name just a few. In the latter he has been invited to conduct a special concert to the memory of the victims of the martial law in Poland. The concert, organized under the patronage of the President of Poland, had live coverage of Polish national radio and television.
His experience includes both opera and symphonic repertoire, ranging from classicism to the twentieth century masterworks, in particular: Viennese Classical period composers, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich.
Beginning with the 2020–2021 season, as a guest conductor he joined the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, where among other projects he took part in the recording of the opera “Verbum nobile” by Stanisław Moniuszko.
The new album of the Opera Podlaska publishing house is coming in December! The album will be available in the Empik and Matras stores.
